Farmers Arts Metairie Market 10/15/2009 Report

The weatherman said it would rain, but we know better. It doesn’t rain on the Farmers Arts Metairie Market. We had a slight sprinkle, just enough to cool us off and then… beautiful weather, cool with a slight breeze. The attendees seem to have a great time shopping all the vendor’s items, eating great food and listening to wonderful, live music.

The music was by “Gwen & The Old Man”, Dan Voorhies and his daughter, Gwen. They sang songs that everyone seemed to know. You could tell because people were singing with them all over the park. It was a highlight of the day.

We had some special guests, Parish President, Cynthia Lee-Sheng, Sheriff Joseph Lopinto and State Representative, Polly Thomas.

Our next Farmers Arts Metairie Market is scheduled for November 19. Hope to see you there!
