Easter Egg Hunt 2019 – Review

Families arriving at the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20 were serenaded by the Hummingbirds Barbershop Quartet.

The children were dressed in their Easter finest, groomed to perfection and all seemed excited to search for Easter eggs and other treasures.

The location of the Easter Egg Hunt was the Wally Pontiff Playground. The site was perfect… a beautifully manicured lawn, shade from many oak trees and a spectacular, cool, sunny day.

Club members hid, to the best of their ability, 700 Easter eggs, but they were no match for these children as in no time, all of the eggs were recovered. Each child had a basket full.

The Easter Bunny was there also and posed with people for photographs.

This event was for members only, however, anyone could join the Old Metairie Garden Club right there at the hunt. Twenty-five dollars for a year is a bargain by any standard.

The OMGC has Farmers Arts Markets, Movie Nights in the Park, Music Nights Under the Stars, an Arts festival and much more. You can be a part of it all.
