Christine Toca-Shields

Director of Revelry on the Ridge

Christine Toca-Shields is the Director of Revelry on the Ridge. She grew up in Metairie with a large and close-knit family in Bucktown. She enjoys gardening, painting, reading, and camping. She has been a Cosmetologist for 19 years and a Cosmetology and Aesthetician Instructor for 11years. Her passion is teaching students how to pass their State Board Practical Exam; which consists of many different tests performed on a manikin or live person.
She is the founder and owner of Party 2 Geaux. It’s a new and upcoming trend where she brings the party to you. She offers pottery and canvas painting, as well as jewelry parties. A lot of her pottery is handmade by her and her mother, Mary Joan Toca, who owns Posh Clay. Posh Clay is a studio that offers group or private classes on how to throw pottery on a pottery wheel.
She has been gardening for 20 years and definitely has a green thumb. She and her husband won Garden Club of the Month from Metairie Ridge Garden Club in June of 2019. She and her husband have planted all of their trees and flowers and bushes themselves. They enjoy gardening together and they have plans for many more gardens in their backyard after they remodel it.
