Carmen Waring

Founder and Former President

Carmen Waring is 0ur Founder and past president of OMGC.  She is a Realtor with Latter & Blum and works out of the East Jefferson Office, 3621 Veterans, Metairie, LA.  Her  B.S. degree is from UNO in Fine Arts, with a minor in Business Admin.  She enjoys gardening, landscaping, staging houses and loves painting.   

She has experience starting other organizations and supporting various charities.  She was the founding president of Fear No Art Club at the University of New Orleans, a founding president of TBUCA – Tampa Bay Underwriting and Claims Association, she served as Education Chair and Secretary on the board of directors for NOAHU – New Orleans Association of Health Underwriters. 

She enjoys community involvement and fundraising for charitable organizations such as Angel’s Place, WYES, Metro Center for Women and Children through the organization of the Pussyfooters.  Originally from Havana, Cuba, but has lived in New Orleans most of her life.  She and husband, Stephen live in Old Metairie where Carmen loves her neighbors, local businesses, and is happy being a member of the Old Metairie Garden Club.
