Old Metairie Garden Club Easter Egg Hunt

EGG-ceptional is how I would describe OMGC’s 1st Easter Egg Hunt.  Beautifully directed by our Maureen McConnell, along with OMGC’s committee at Glendale Park located behind Metairie Rd Library on March 31st, 2018.    We were greeted by Mr. Easter Bunny, compliments of Chad Harris of Garden Gate, who loaned the adorable costume and we thank “Tyler” for playing the very important part.   Aquiana Water donated bottles of cold water for our members, and The Plant Gallery loaned beautiful accenting plants for our photo opportunities in front of a majestic Oak Tree which canopied over the entire event.  It was priceless to see all of the member’s children and grandchildren seeking one treasure after another.  There were nearly 1000 eggs/candies donated by many OMGC members.  This is an excellent example of what community involvement means and how we can accomplish so much more as we grow OMGC.  Thanking everyone who helped: members, committee members, and board members, as well.
